Our Story
Welcome to Saint’s Book Club.
Saint’s Book Club is a lay apostolate to encourage community, prayer, and study of our Catholic Faith through book clubs. Book clubs are run independently throughout the country. The mission of Saints Book Club is to simply get the ball rolling through a couple simple steps.
Step one: Be a Saint. To be a saint in the simplest of definitions, one must be in a state of grace. That is the grace we receive at baptism, can lose with mortal sin and regain ordinarily through sacramental absolution. Though fallen by nature at birth, we are redeemed by the merits of Jesus’s life, death, and resurrection through the sacraments. The call to holiness is universal as the church reminds us so sanctity is step one.
Step two: Start a Book Club. This might just be a pretext to meet regularly with friends. Or it might be a deep dive into the riches of our faith. Or some combination of the two. Many book clubs look at a specific collection of books we call…wait for it…The Bible. At Saint’s Book Club, the Bible is the launching point to further study or our Faith. The Apostle John writes though that the whole earth couldn’t contain all that Jesus said or did so exploring our faith further through spiritual reading, reflection, and meditation is most edifying.
